Just debating whether or not to do a lazy days boat trip this year.

We will have a 1 year old who at the moment thinks he is superman and can fly by launching himself off knees etc. One really thinks he should learn to walk before he attempts flying but that's another story.

Anyway I digress. Do the boats have life jackets for the smaller people. Not that we envisage letting him loose and he will probably be buggy bound for most of the day but its the one thing putting me off doing one this year.

In my opinion I would not take a 1 year old on a boat trip. Especially if he is starting to move around, you guys won't be able to relax as much as you'll be keeping an eye on little man the whole time. Plus a buggy on board the boat too, getting it on and off will be a pain for you. At the end of the day though, it is your choice and if you think you can cope with him whilst trying to relax, go for it.

I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem getting a buggy on and off. I used to take my late partner's wheelchair without a problem, the crew are very helpful.

i think a lot also depends on what time of year you go. I would imagine in high season out at sea it would be very very hot, although I am sure youngster will be under cover with factor 50 *. The boats are usually very busy as well at that time of year. It is of course your choice but I think I am with Sami on this one

The boats that we use for our lazy day to have life jackets on board for little people, but at the age of one I am not sure they have for that little. If you are wanting to take a one year old on a boat trip then I would advise those swim suits that have the floatation devises in them and full cover for safety from the sun.
Have a look at possibly going to a water park as still relaxing and fun for the little one.

Don't think we will bother this year. It's a nice day out but knowing our little terror he will find some way of ninja ing away. Looks like ill have to go quad safari instead lol

Another option would be to persuade my boss to let me come on the boat trip with you and I will baby sit
