Slow cooked Leg of Lamb

Postby sirkyboy » 23 Apr 2013 11:41

Been a few years since we have been to Icmeler, and for years we always had our sunday lamb at the Efes hotel where we stayed.

Can anyone recommend somewhere that does this, as it will be a one time deal, and dont want to end up with some scraggy end.

Cheers

Last year we had the leg of lamb at Sidik's in the Old Village and it was so tender you could eat it with a spoon.
You will probably have to book it the day before.

We had leg of lamb at Bonjour Restaurant, in the square , and it was delicious. As said we ordered it the day before. I am sure Sidik's is also a very good choice as food there is superb.

I had leg of lamb last year in Romance and was beautiful but certainly not what i was expecting, it was done with a Mediterranean style sauce with peppers, onions etc :D

Yep, Sidik's or Bonjour - the meat was so tender it was literally falling off the bone. Absolutely mouth-watering!

Getting lost is all part of the fun though - you may stumble across a right little gem of a place :)

If you come from Tansas back towards the square. Standing so the new square is on your right hand side, walk straight ahead, there are two roads, take the one to the right which is more main road down into the Old Village, you will see Romance on your right. Keep going until you reach the end, Lovestar will be on your left corner, over to the right there is Wembley. Cross over and walk dow the road ahead of you, where Wembley is and as stated, Sidik's in on your right.

I think I might arrange a night for me and my parents to have this one night. Is it too much for 3 people? :D

Yes, it's usually served as a dish for two people - and there's usually loads! It would probably do three - unless they're like my son and have hollow legs, lol!

Kind of I think? I'm sure I can find it by aimless wandering around the general area ha ha

 as someone has said Sirkyboy, you may stumble across another hidden gem in your search for Sidik's place. It is quite easy once you get down that end of town anyway but its making my mouth water, so definitely have to have this on arrival
