Booked! Blog part 2 comin. What about bike hire?

Postby ScouseFitz » 02 Apr 2013 21:11

Yes!! Booked our two weeks in the old village today. We're at Rhodes apts, anyone been? Whats it likel Our 4th visit to icmeler ain 5 yrs. But I want to do a few things I haven't yet done, so I'm seeking advice and/or tips.

Where can I hire bikes for me and my 12 year old?

How long does it take to walk the coastal path from icmeler to Marmaris?

Where I can I hire a boat to go fishing?

What's the best scuba diving option?

We're scared of the madness of Marmaris. But where's the best restaurant in the harbour/old town?

Can't wait to hear your answers, and to write another blog, after my blog efforts last year. Might even finish it this year.

Would welcome your answers folks.
Paul.

Hope you have a great time (I'm sure you will) and I look forward to reading your blogs again :) When do you go?

We did it last year and I think it took about 2 hours (depends how fast you walk and we did stop off a couple of times for refreshments). It's quite a nice walk but we got the water-taxi back as it was so hot.

When you going Scouse? I'm at Rhodes between June 13th - 223rd and July 18th - 25th. I try and stay there every year and its lovely. Nice big pool, good bar and restaurant. Clean and well appointed rooms. Good staff too. What more could you wish for. Plus most clientele are returning guests so all friendly. :D

Hiya Scouse,
We stayed at the Rhodes for the first time last year. We liked it so much that we are back there this year. It's a lovely place. Great location, great pool and a good atmosphere. Lots of friendly returning guests. The room sizes were great for us, it was just the hubby and i so lots of room to move....We are there from the 29th July for 2 weeks. It cannot come quick enough for us...We think you have made a good choice for your accomodation. Enjoy your jollies....
P.S. Look forward to reading the blog, completed or otherwise...

Hi folks,

We're there from the 25th July for 2weeks. Sounds like we made a good choice with Rhodes. Thanks, Justin, we'll give the walk a go, tho I might do it on bikes. Just remembered that Moonlight do bike hire, and we're just round the corner from there. Sorry we'll miss you Sami. Have a great time. Looking forward to meeting Sheila and Mike. You'll be able to spot me. Just look for a Mr Bean lookalike with a book in one hand, and an Efes in the other!!! :)
Cheers,
Paul

I'll be there same time as you (different hotel though), we fly out 29th July to 12th August. If I see a Mr Bean lookalike on a bike on the coastal road I'll give you a push lol
