Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

We did this last year and loved it (apart from my fractured arm from being pushed off the boat, but that's a whole other story!). Rachel mentioned that it was even more beautiful early on in the season when all the birds were breeding and the blossoms out so we would like to go again. Are we too early in April, I suspect so, but thought I'd ask the question - we'll be "home" on 16th April for a week . We're back again on 1st June so all is not lost if we're too early, wondering also what the price is this year?

Also - I posted in the general holiday chitchat about using a Turkish sim, but nobody ever looks in there - if you know about Turkish data sims, please reply! Ta very much

I would imagine that even if there is not many people about that Rachael will get a trip together for you

As for the sim, then the chit chat pages have 100' of people perusing them all the time but it just means that they do not know hence no reply

I saw and thought I would leave for a reply so my reply is dont even bother as unless you are on a Turkish contract then prices are far too high so just stick to wifi which is faster in Icmeler than the 3g

Wherever you are, by a pool at the beach etc you will pick up someones signal, so simply go ask for the code as its amazing what buying a beer can do

You will end up with a lot of saved networks in your i pad so can connect all the time

Didn't reply as jt says (don't know about sim),,,,, we were able to make wifi phone calls, message and facebook uploads,,, from almost anywhere, to/from other members of our party,, we had approx 8 key codes,, inc 2 on the beach,

I've pretty much got most of Icmeler covered with wifi passwords - unless they've changed this year of course - was wanting 3g for those area's where it's not - from Dalaman to Icmeler for example - so we can keep in touch with our friend who's meeting us with keys when we arrive and not pay a daft amount for a text, that kind of thing. Will probably use some time in the April trip to check it out on the ground as it were to see what's the best plan for June onwards. I just have a notion of facetiming from the edge of the sea, not found any wifi that does the beach front row yet!
