Postby jimmy glasgow » 16 Mar 2013 07:45

we've always went self catering to icmeler, this is our 1st time b&b (kapmar hotel) what does a turkish breakfast consist of ? to be honest, a cup of tea and toast does us before we head to the beach and we usualy head for lunch in one of the bars along the front at 1 o'clock ish !! the only thing we'll miss is a fridge :(

The usual Turkish breakfast consists of tomatoes, olives, cucumber, cheese (usually like a sort of feta cheese), eggs (usually hard boiled - sometimes fried). You get honey and jam too, and sometimes sucuk, which is a Turkish sausage, similar to salami. Oh, and not forgetting the lovely Turkish bread - ekmek!

There are variations - some places do a more lavish breakfast, but that's pretty much the basics.

Yum, love a Turkish breakfast me. Makes me feel more healthy when I've eaten that in the morning rather than a big old fry up!!
