Hi just read on tripadvisor that Dalaman airport have opened a smoking area near gate 24 , about time too.

I regret that I have to confirm that fact. It's much easier to give it up.

They may as well have, as the loo's next to the cip lounge have always stunk of smoke for as long as I've been going. OH will be very happy though!

that will please my husband, although we havent had the time to use it in the past 2 years, got to airport and had to board plane, only had time to visit dutyfree. i wont mind too much now as i am giving up smoking, its been 5 weeks now so hopefully i wont go back to it its my 3rd time of trying and am going to do it this time.

Good luck. Hope you make it this time. I gave up for four years and started again, Gave up again for a year and started again. Gave up for the third time over twenty years ago so I guess I can say I have won the battle.

It's not easy but believe me it DOES get easier. Persevere - you CAN do it!!

Noodles heard a funny story about why those toilets stunk of smoke!
Anyway saw the signs for the new smoking area last month but was afraid to go down to it in case you had to go outside and back through security and passport control, apparently not though.
Intend to give up smoking soon but if not will look forward to using it next year!

Hi, yes there are two smoking areas, one by the toilets before security by checkin desk 59 I think and one after security by gate 24. It is quite funny though because it's a caged area! I kid you not!
