Can anyone suggest apartments/hotel where you can..........

Postby Chris221273 » 13 Sep 2012 08:41

......touch the bottom of the swimming pool without the need to be 6'5" tall?
We've decided we will be coming back next year, but it really would be quite dependant on having a pool that normal people can stand up in.
Anita cant swim and has a bit of a phobia of open water, but likes to cool off, and I like a swim but don't like going out of my depth.
We did find an apartments with a pool that had a decent deep end depth, but sadly they're closing this year, so would appreciate anyone's help.

Am almost sure Vince's apartments [Demircioglu] have a shallow end Chris
Seem to recall I could touch the bottom at one end

Failing that, those sausage things are great - though I can swim, I don't like being in deep water so always make sure I have one to hand lol

I'm 5'3" and can stand at the shallow end of the pool at the Oylum Garden Hotel, the shallow bit wouldn't be big enough for me to swim much tho'.

Why not buy those long foam Noodles which allow you float safely in the water so that you can cool down.

We used to stay at the Babadan Apartments years ago and they had a shallow end in both pools and if I remember correctly one of the pools had steps to go into it.

Hi Alison
Is the Mete the one with the Sad B******'s Club? If it is, it has a good location. Do you know if there are many steps there and are there apartments on the ground floor?

Yes there ground floor apartments at the Mete just a couple of steps to the ground floor aparts and there are another two floors above. You are right in thinking where they are, aparts are very spacious and the sun is on the pool area all day :-)

Hi all,

The Kapmar pool has a shallow end, and is of a pretty good size.
And it also has a small paddling pools for the kids.

The pool at the Bilnur apartments, next door to Senem, can be walked into by steps and a gradual gradient throughout until you reach the deep end. The apartments in the new block are lovely and price includes air conditioning and safety deposit box.
