Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Now, can any of you tell me which restaurants definitely do the lovely puff bread and meze dips etc. I want to take my brother to sample this delight and most restaurants I have frequented recently don't do it. Would really appreciate the feedback folks.

This year there is more that didn't do it than did, where as last year most places did it.

Tommy's in the village does it and the food is lovely as well. Last year The Sizzler did it and i am sure they will still do it

The romance palace do it also, and it's a fab meal in there.

Why don't you go into Esnaf Lokantasi (opposite Tansas) & ask for the 'breadman' to do you some bread & get it served with a selection of meze. They are very good & will do the same bread topped with cheese or whatever; just speak to the guy, he's very helpful & will explain what is available. Very cheap, try a lunchtime not just evenings. ENJOY!!

The prince restaurant does the lavash bread and the food is really good Sami. Tried this restaurant for the first time this year and the food was great, say hello to Gary if you go hun xxx

The Three Bells (near the beach) always serve the puffed up bread

The Holiday and Richard's Place were still serving it in July. We also had it in Amigos but they added on a charge for it at the end which they said was for the mezes. Wouldn't have minded if we'd known about it in advance but the way it was done was a bit sneaky, so we wouldn't go there again. The lack of this bread in a lot of our favourite restaurants was a big disappointment to us this year as it is something we always look forward to each year. This year we returned to certain restaurants because they still did this bread rather than the ones that didn't. We've always counted this bread as a speciality in Icmeler. Just hope that by next year they will start doing it again but I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped it everywhere.

Thank you for your replies peoples, really appreciate it. As you say, I also see this as a speciality of Icmeler so the fact that not so many places do it now is a real shame.
Anyway, thank you for all your suggestions and though I don't like Romance Palace, it might be an experience for my brother and his girlfriend.

Broadway do this bread & also a very nice meal.

Kontes also do this bread - delicious - making my mouth water just thinking about it.

When having our meal at home the other night popped up to Esnaf Lokantasi & got a couple of lavash bread to take away to accompany the food instead of normal breads from the baker - lovely .
