Flights Booked for 2013

We are taking our daughter's friend to Icmeler with us next year and she will be 16 whilst she is there. Do I need a letter of consent from her mum to confirm we have permission to take her away with us?

Any advice would be appreciated.

As a precaution I would ask for one anyway, we are doing the same and my daughters friend is 17 but until she is 18 I am not taking the risk just in case there is a jobs worth at the airport.

All I do is type up a letter with their details on and ask them to sign it.
