This was going to be my last Icmeler summer for a while have been for 17 years,BUT had fantastic time,stopped at the Private again much improved hotel staff fantastic as ever,pool area improved,went to Datca I love it there,Turunc,Kumblubuk twice, markets and Marmaris met lots of old friends and some new ones.husband went fishing 3 times,Rachel and Refax at Jasmin were great,Sadik family welcoming and Hakan and Levent in Tandori Sizzler.Hasan and Osman and reception staff left a beatifull bouquet in our room for our wedding anniversay. So you can say I will be back again.

I know how you feel.

I'm gutted we aren't going next year (going to Egypt for friends 50th). I know it won't be the same.

If you don't mind me asking, where does you husband go fishing?

We have been to icmeler for the last 4 years and are going back on Friday. Every year i look out for fishing trips but can never find one without travelling for miles.

Any information would be appreciated.

There is a fishing tackle shop directly opposite Buffalo Bar and they advertise full and half day fishing trips. Never been on one mind you, just noticed while sitting there drinking

Hj maryb me and the family and friends fly out on the 14th and we have wanted to go to datca for the day but often asked local tour operaters about day trips to datca who told us they only go there if they can fill the coaches or mini coaches we were told that it isnt often they do this we know you can get a bus from marmaris bus station but we are not sure how long it takes we would be grateful for any info from your self or othjer forum members Many thanks kenny.

Hi yes If you go to the fishing tackle shop they will get someone to take you fishing. We hire a mini bus and driver to take us to Datca every year we love it,it takes about 1hour at most ask at the tour operators,just past Romance Palace they were doing trips on a Saturday to Datca for the market.
