My advice is to stop worrying, turn up at the apartments and see what room they offer you

The time you are going is not the busiest time of the year so I doubt very much if they will fill those attic rooms

If you are then not happy with it then call your booking agent and ask for a rep to call and tell them you want moving.

If they are no help then before you go walking around Icmeler looking for apartments, pop into our office and let us do the work for you

Hi

It's all about personal opinion. We have stayed at the same hotel for the last 4 years and are going again next week. Every year we read the reviews and I can't believe some of he complaints I see.

Most hotels are the same I.e. if you look hard enough you will find a problem.

I have always found that if I find something that needs attention, then I would put my complaint to the manager ( in a civilised manner) and it always get delt with.

Don't let this spoil your holiday before you even get there, I'm sure it will be fine.

Hi Antitap stop worrying myself and family have stayed here, they are spotlessly clean, when we stayed there the rooms were white with peach nice and spacious. pool area although not huge is lovely, and a big bar to sit under to get away from the heat and have a few Effes . Make up your own minds its been said before the reviews are there for a guide, but some people will moan about everything. hope you enjoy yourselves :)

Anitap, just to add to what others have already said...take the reviews you've seen with a pinch of salt, especially the ones that have only posted once!
Friends stayed at Sahin Palace in August and loved it! We've used the pool and eaten there and it was lovely!
A lot of places try to put people in attic rooms, so it's not something that's unique to Sahin Palace and am sure if you have a word with the manager, they won't give you one of those - esp if they can see that your OH couldn't manage the stairs.
As an aside, a couple of friends HAVE stayed in attic rooms there and raved about the amount of room there was - so much so that they were thrilled with them, though I realise that's prob not how you'd find it given your circs.
As JT said, it's not likely to be busy when you go so you're more likely to get a room on a lower floor IMHO.
Please don't let your worrying spoil things for you and have a lovely time

Doesn't sound like they are doing themselves any favours but as everyone has said, wait till you get there and make your own minds up. If its not quite what you expected then use it as a base only. Nicely ask for a different room if needed and from then on you can come and go as you please. If any staff approach you about eating there or what have you, you only need to make yourself clear as to why you don't want to stay there. But I would suggest you try it all out first otherwise you have no basis of complaint.

Anitap, Shuggy was one of the people I was thinking of who'd stayed in an attic room there, and if he says they're fine, they will be lol

Re TA placings, it all depends on the total number of reviews placed for a resort and the scores each one gives for the accom the person's reviewing. There seems to be some sort of pressure on this year to put reviews on there for some reason - maybe it's the certificates they've awarded aparts and restaurants?? We returned home last week and the parting words from the staff were not to forget to put a review on TA!!!!!

Enjoy your hol - am sure you will

We have been to Sahin Palace twice and never had any problems but that was when Murat ran them and I've never seen the attic rooms. I never look at reviews after I've booked. I'm sure you'll have no problems, have a great time. :D

It must be the norm for people to be shown to the attic room when you arrive.
We had it at the Senem, and got moved, as did every person who got showed to them, and they also got moved.
Several guests that we spoke to requested lower floor rooms, when booking but still got attic rooms.
It would appear that many places, that we see on here, have the same problems with attic rooms.
You'd think the owners would catch on to this and just either stop offering them out and use them as staff quarters or use them as a 2 person room, for younger couples at a reduced rate.
You only have to go on t**p advisor and see what 90% of the complaints are about......attic rooms!
