Hi geordiedave1964

I'm really not sure what it's like since our dear friend Sidik left, but it was fabulous when he was there. It is
in a lovely part of the old village, very near the mosque and I liked nothing better than to sit there listening to the call to prayer.
Sorry it probably doesnt answer your question about the food now... however, if you want a good meal Sidik's family restaurant is brilliant. He is just up the road from Romance.

It's a lovely location. Can't comment on the food as we never ate there, but be sure to smother yourself in insect repellent if you're going to sit out there. We went the afternoon before we came home, and I'm sure people on the plane thought I had fleas! I've never had so many really nasty bites! I've still got the scars from some of them.

We were in Captain Sinbad's twice when we were there in June. First time we had an English breakfast, along with a few Efes, can't remember what it cost but it was reasonable. Had a good chat with the waiter, Adnan, nice guy. He persuaded us to go back the next night to have the Ottoman casserole, which we did and it was very nice, although a bit pricey (had to be ordered the day before). Didn't have a problem with mozzies at all.

Lovely quiet location and nice hearing the mosque calling the faithfull to prayer.

We'll probably go back when we're there in September.
