We went and paid £10 each.Make sure it is an English £10 note for each person. They will not accept a £20 note for 2 people and if you give them a £20 note for 1 person, you will not get change back.

Anyone made a second trip on the new 180 day visa, we went end of may,25th and are returning 25th September, do we still have to go to visa desk or go straight to passport desk.Rog

180 day visa?

Not sure what you mean and never heard of such a thing.

As far as I am aware, the entry visa is for 90 days, during which time you can go in and out.

However, I would advise contacting the British or Turkish consulate if you want to do anything over the initial 90 days rather than taking advice from us. I did hear a rumour, while in Icmeler last week, that they have introduced a waiting period between one visa expiring and getting another. But again, speak to the people in authority to check.

We have often been to Turkey twice in one year, but never returned within the 90 day period so happily paid another £10 each.

People often think that Turkey are being awkward/greedy by charging £10, but it is a bargain compared to the cost for Turkish people coming to the UK.

The tourist visa changed this year, it now lasts for 180 days and you can enter Turkey on the same visa multiple times as long as the number of days in Turkey are not more than 90.

I'm interested in anyone else taking their second trip on the same visa as I go again in September

We're off back next Saturday for the second time on the new visa, and again 2 weeks after we get back, so hopefully we'll get the full value out of the £10 paid in May! Last year we had 2 trips within 90 days on the old style visa, just went straight to passport control with the page open for the visa as normal, they just stamped it again and away we went.

We went to Istanbul on 4th March this year for 14 nights. We went to Icmeler on 24th May for 3 weeks and paid only at Istanbul. We did not pay at Dalaman in May and had no trouble entering and leaving. We go back at end of September when we will pay again as the 180 days has expired. The clock started ticking on 4th March and expires beginning of September. The total time in Turkey in that period did not exceed 90 days. On the next visit on 27th September will then start another period of 180 days.

it doesnt matter if you pay for another sticker at visa
at passport control they stamp the one that has the time left and are told that it lasts for 6 months
