In June, we were paying 4tl for the local brew, Efes, in a lot of places but on the promenade it was dearer around 6/7tl. Obviously spirits and cocktails are more expensive but a few bars/restaurants had offers on. Hope this helps. :)

Stopped for a drink at Waffleland on the promenade. Luckily we'd only had one each and the OH nearly had a fit when he saw the bill and that a bottle of efes was 9 lira :(

You think that's bad, at least you were getting alcohol for that. We stopped at a certain restaurant to look at the menu outside before we went in, while doing so the owner was giving us his best speech so I asked him how much was his large soft drinks were, he said 9 lira, up until then we were going in but I just thanked him and walked off, over £3 for pop , I'm sorry I don't mind them making a profit but I do mind being made a mug of.

Are you able to say which restaurant this was? Many people were caught out I suppose as you tend to look at certain prices like set meals etc but forget about the price of soft drinks which can really bump up the price of your meal. Don't mind paying over the odds but object to being 'ripped off'.

We spent more on drinks than meals  Efes was between 4 and 7 for a large....small was maybe 1 less than large.Spirit and mixer was 8 most places.Glass of wine 8 most places.Yes soft drinks were about the same as alcohol!Always offers if you look around, but not usually by the beach or in your apartments.

Not sure If I'm allowed to, but if it's ok with JT and team then I will.
