I will probably visit Marmaris but more than likely in the day time so Dolmus will be my chosen method of transport.
As they run up until 1am though, just make sure you get the last one. If not it's a taxi (and yes, agree a price before you get in) or walk... :)

Don't aim to get the last one unless you are getting on at the starting point as they are normally full, I would aim for about 12:30, if there are a lot of people around you may find it difficult bartering a taxi fare down.

I hear what you're saying Dave but with my experience of Turkey there's no such thing as a 'full' Dolmus lol
Even when we were rammed in they were still stopping to let more on, it was ridiculous (but funny too - oh how cultures differ lol)

Joking aside, yes, get the last one right at the beginning or the easy way is don't go to Marmaris at night (why would you want to anyway? lol)

By the way, I didn't suggest trying to barter the taxi down, merely agree a price before you get in :)

Reminded me of a couple of years ago when we were ram-jammed on a minibus back to Icmeler from Marmaris after a boat trip
Driver got pulled over by police and on the spot fine for being overloaded!!
Only in Turkey would the police then let the driver carry on his merry way, with the same amount of people on board hahah, fair made us laugh
