Hi - we have flown with Easy Jet a couple of times. Paid for speedy boardingv - well worth it. You get dedicated check in desks(well we did from Manchester) so avoid all the queues and managed to get extra leg room seats free of charge. Also find flights very punctual.
Only thing I would say is make sure it is right size and not overweight as they sometimes check it just as you about to board and can make you pay to put it in the hold.
Hope you have a great holiday

Posted a reply earlier but don't know where it went!! - it went something like this:
Give yourselves a massive treat & purchase Speedy Boarding & avoid lengthy queues at check-in, there's a special aisle for SB & you go through immediately, (the look on other people's face was worth the money alone  ) next you go through Fast Track Security. Easy Jet don't allocate seats at check-in but with SB you are called up first & once on board can choose ANY seats (inc extra leg room at no charge) & you are guaranteed to be sitting together (everyone in the party has to pay, you can't board then reserve seats for the rest of your family/party). After SB's everyone else boards & is literally a free for all!!
We paid about £13 in April but check on-line; we are soon to book again & will go for SB. We were almost 4kg over our hold luggage weight & surprisingly the guy on check-in simply said to watch our weight on returning as we were slightly over :o  but you best be very careful as Easy jet are known to be strict, hand luggage was no problem but again they can be strict, we were told as long as the size is ok & that you can lift it you will be ok, others only allow 5kg; again best check, very strict about check-in times so don't be late!! Comfort & crew were good & arrived 30mins early, no complaints. We flew from Edinburgh.
Good luck & enjoy your hols.

I don't think Speedy Boarding is worth it, as last time I went there were more people in the Speedy Boarding queue than in the ordinary queue and the look on the faces of the people in the Speedy Boarding line was priceless

Last time we flew with them, there were people complaining because they'd paid for speedy boarding but there were so many others who'd done the same that it was anything but speedy! I suppose you pays your money and takes the gamble as far as that's concerned...
