Ekinci in 2 weeks

Postby roofer32 » 02 Jul 2012 15:27

Going for 19 days and in need of a holiday after going 4 years without one. Last visited Marmaris back in 95, but plunged to stay in Icmeler instead. My family will be on their first visit to Turkey and looking forward to a break.

Got breakfast included in the hotel(not sure what breakfast consists of), but wondering if anybody else has stopped here and their thoughts?

I have 2 children in tow, a girl 14 and a boy 9. We are looking forward to a few trips and wondered if the prices quoted on here are competative or better finding deals in the resorts?

I know there was a ICR card, but cant seem to find the page for it. Blind or what??

Thanks for any tips or advice in advance and see you all on 16th of july.

Last year the restaurant next door to the Ekinci, named Cubana did gorgeous meals and they gave you a voucher for a full English breakfast or a lunch the next day free!

We are going in September also so i'm looking forward to seeing some reviews (and, maybe, photos? ) of it.

roofer, the link to the excursions page is http://www.icmeleronline.com/icmeler_excursions.php

For the ICR card, you go in to their offices when you get there (it's in the centre, across from the main square and above Tandoori Sizzler) and tell them your forum name, they present you with the card.

Hope that helps, and don't forget that review

Hi crazybabe only returned on Sunday at 6am and back at work on Monday but i will write a review in a few days, unfortunately due to the rain we have been having the grass has grown so long in my garden the neighbours have reported seeing a tiger and other creatures in there and i need to catch up on my chores lol.

Had a great time at the Ekinci palace and would not hesitate about booking these apartments again, they are not perfect but I do not tend to stay in the complex for the duration of my stay in Icmeler.
You do not need to worry , you will have a fab time.

Think George Clooney must have moved on to a different location as there was not a George working at the Ekinci this year Dave. Sorry i could not give you an update.

I'm sure his real name is Gerrard, but when we were there he liked to be called
George Clooney, didn't see the resemblance myself 'tho. Any time we wanted
a drink we had to shout George for him to serve us, it was good meeting up
with him again.

Ah yes Gerrard is still there but has now dropped the george clooney. He is a lovely lad and nothing is too much trouble. He is soon to become a father to a baby boy, and he is so excited and proud about the forthcoming birth.
