Some useful advice if booking Monarch flights

When booking Monarch flights they offer the following preset packages for their scheduled services.

Flight Only - All extras have to be paid for

Essentials - Flight + Normal Seat Choice + 20Kg Luggage + Online Checkin

Premium - Flight + Extra Leg Room Seat + 23Kg Luggage + Online Checking

When I booked my flights for next year I chose Premium as the extra leg room seats were important to me, however looking last night for a break in September I discovered that you can add the extra leg room seats on the Essentials package so if you are OK with just 20Kg of luggage save yourself £18 per person by booking that way.

However if you don't need 20Kg of luggage each then book the Flight Only and add each element and the appropiate number of Bags, this may save more money. If each person wants 20Kg + extra leg room seats then the essentials pack is the way to go as it is cheaper than the flight only and adding everything.

If I had played with the booking scenarios first I would have saved £108 for next year for the 6 passengers I booked.

Hopefully others will take advantage of the information and learn by my mistake.

Dave
