Just read on Facebook that there's been another earthquake felt in Icmeler. Hope everyone is ok.
Update: friend on Facebook says it was stronger than the last one - 6.1 magnitude, but no-one hurt, thank goodness. Bit scary for everyone though.

That was fun! I was in tansas and must admit I hadn't a clue what was happening till the wine bottles hit the floor and the wee girl at the till shoved me out the door. Only lasted about 20 seconds but it was a good one. Nobody hurt and no structural damage though.

That'd be a good T-shirt, one of those 'Keep Calm' ones that seem to be all the rage at the moment

Just got back from Icmeler this morning, we experienced three during our two weeks stay.
And to be really honest it upset me. BUT my husband who has experienced them in the States say they were very low.
Really odd feeling when the earth shakes under your feet and the noise was like really loud thunder.

The first was a few seconds , the second was very low . but the third was longer and stronger and was to me scary but to others an experience, depends what type of person you are. But we all did the same and sat and discussed about it with a few glasses of efes, Hey ,, we felt better,

Our hotel did get damage, glass and walls cracked , and 5 couples had to move rooms because of the cracks. But saying that the Hotel is 22 years old and i believe they are built to with stand earth quakes now. My advice would be check yours are if your nervous. We had a great time .

Was on the Dolmus when the first tremor occured so didn't feel a thing

We were having a guided tour round Rhodes last Tuesday when the guide explained how some of the architecture was designed to overcome earthquakes. He said that they have a big one every 50 years or so and the last one was in 1958. He joked the next one was due in 5 minutes.

While having a siesta in our room on Sunday the apartments started to shake. I was out next to the pool in less than 2 seconds.

The only damage in our aparments was one of the lights fixed to the side of the pool floated to the surface.

Was there another small one around 9pm this evening, or was it just our neighbours slamming doors again?
