I've never been a great fan of Venice, but on the advice of one of our friends who works on the canal, we decided to try it for a chinese one night. The food was very good, but they didn't have any warmers to put the dishes on and by the time we were finished, it was quite cold. I can't stand cold noodles! However, the entertainment was very good, much better than I've seen previously, so we went back and had a chicken meal another night. It was excellent, and again the entertainment was very good. Good old Ismail ("clap" belly dancer) was there and 4 russian dancers who were really good, the slinky show which was very funny, and a junior Michael Jackson. I'm not sure about the jnr MJ. He was only about 10 -12 years old and should have been in bed at that time. Too much like child exploitation for my liking, but he went down well with most of the audience. Venice is definitely on our list for next time.
