hi all
Although i read through the forum regular after a de from tripadvisor spoke highly of it, :) this is my first post on the icr forum but felt you guys have the knowledge to help, can anyone explain why icmeler seems to get a better echange rate than marmaris? not complaining of course, just interested as we have noticed the last few years icmeler has been better, has this always been the case?

Hi Woody
I don't think it is any better - where in Marmaris are you comparing it with?

Guessing it's supply and demand like anything else, same as why a full English in icmeler is 5tl but 13tl in olu deniz. Change office rate yesterday was a little over 2.83 in icmeler, 2.80 in marmaris. Both still better than uk :)

Hi Debs, noodles

Not really comparing it with anywhere in particular, its just whenever we have gone into marmaris we notice you don't quite get the same rate, it could be like noodles has said with supply and demand, icmeler being smaller they give you more to make you exchange there and not marmaris (i think there is some form of logic in this somewhere, lol :) ) thanks for the replies

You must be going to the wrong places in Marmaris then lol! One of the things to beware of in Marmaris is the kiosks short changing you. Most people 'in the know' have their own favourite places where they change money. It's 2.84 in some supermarkets and shops which is a little more than Icmeler at 2.83.

I like to use the exchange places in Icmeler because the staff are usually very pleasant and you know you won't get ripped off too.

Just back, Ovacik about 7or 8 yet in Gocek 18.
Prices have dropped over last week due to lack of hoilday makers.
How about a shave, down to £2.
