Take it with you and have something made that you want,,,,,using your gold, it will be cheaper than buying new.
if you take a design, then thats better.

In that case take it with you  , at least you won't get ripped off waiting for a Stupidly low valuation through the post, then waiting for the return of your property while they drag their feet  .
Enjoy Steve

I took a bag of odd n sods last year. It wasnt a big bag but I was gobsmacked when they offered me £500 for it. I was that shocked I had to sit down and they got me a nice drink of iced apple tea. I would definately recommend that you take it to Turkey to cash in.

Hi,
thanks for your replies, I was wondering if anyone knew how much they were paying an ounce for gold as I have been offered £10. per ounce here, someone said it was about £12.50 there but dont know if this is correct.
thanks

Daylight robbery Sue. Have a look at http://goldprice.org/gold-price-per-gram.html
and also if your interested also have a look at
http://goldpricenetwork.com/gold-price- ... 05&yy=2011
There is a dip in the price of gold at the moment but it's definitely going to creep up again. In about two years it should be worth quite a bit more. Looking at the prices though remember that the rate you will have is the scrap value. I remember reading on this forum, I think it was last year, when someone received a rate that was higher than on the 'goldpricenetwork' website. Sorry I can't remember the name of the jewellers though.
