Safety First

At the back end of February we booked a week's holiday in the Golf del Sur in Tenerife where we had been ten years ago. Due to various circumstances I had been off work and had not heard that one of my colleagues had been effectively pick pocketed and almost mugged in the street a month previously. Our hotel room had numerous warnings to this effect and it did bring back memories of previous visits.

Isn't it great that we can wander about Icmeler at all times of day and night and feel safe and secure. Thanks to Icmeler, we had totally forgotten some of the very nasty surprises that can happen in European resorts.

We went to Golf del Sur in February and must admit we didn't have any problems. However, while we were waiting for a bus into Los Cristianos, one of the other women in the queue suddenly realised her purse had disappeared. Must say I've personally never felt as safe anywhere on holiday as I do when I'm in Icmeler. Obviously you would still take the same precautions you would anywhere - home or abroad - but I do feel safe walking around in Icmeler, day or night.

Blondie, that's the type of warnings we were given about pick pockets. We had become so laid back about our personal security that we had forgotten to worry. It would be a damned good pick pocket to get money out of hubby's sporran
