Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi all.
I'm a new member to this forum and would appreciate any recommendations for trips, restaurants etc for our holiday in Icmeler in August. Was in Icmeler in 2006 and loved it! The Turkish people made us feel so welcome. Can' wait for August!!

Phil,you will probably get loads of what to do where & when on this forum but the best idea i can come up with for you is that when you arrive in Aug go straight to the ICR office in the main square & they will sort anything & everything you want to do on your holiday,hope this helps.

We'll be staying at the Greenworld apartments, which is quite a way out from the centre of Icmeler. It'll be dolmus or taxi rides I think.

Holiday restaurant best meals we have had so far by a distance.

Just chill out and relax. You will not be stuck for somewhere to eat or drink, maybe a bit quieter and chilled out at back of resort, but most are excellent and i am sure you will enjoy. ICR will also do great deals and variety of trips. We usually have a bit walk around and you can see and hear what is going on in the bars.
PS The bars that remind you of a dentists waiting room are probably best left alone!!

stayed at Greenworld 7 times and Julian Forest which is just next door 4 times
dolmus right outside the door so dont worry about that
lovely breeze, clean nice apartments and staff that are very helpful
lovely big pool with 2 jacuzzi's and a pool with 2 water slides

Stayed at Pinewood apartments in 2006 and Club Alize in Marmaris in 2010.
Love the relaxed feel in Icmeler and obviously the endless sun (and Efes!!).

I would definitely recommend the Hanedan Ocakbasi restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent and so is the presentation. There are no dancing waiters or entertainment just superb food. It's fine if you want a quiet night or just move on to one of the bars after eating.
