60 sleeps until my first Icmeler experience!

Hi, my name is Carrie and I've been lurking on here for a little while.

I'm 24 and I'm heading to Icmeler with my parents and younger sister who is 17. It sounds like we're all going to be able to find lots to do without having to stay glued together!

What is everyone's favourite thing about Icmeler?

I am astounded by all the comments saying it feels like home and it's so wonderful, what is it then? Just the people, or is it the beauty of the place?

Oh, and one more thing! Is anyone else going around the 19th of July?

Icmeler has a magic all of its own, which I'm sure you will find out for yourself. It is a beautiful place - but the people are what make it truly special. They are genuinely friendly and welcoming and do all they can to make your holiday special. We have made some good friends since our first holiday in Icmeler several years ago. The thing which always amazes me is how they remember you - we walked into Marmaris last year and were recognised and greeted by a former Icmeler restaurant owner who we'd only met once, on our first visit there.
You will have a fab time - but be warned, the Icmeler experience is addictive. You will want to come back - again, and again, and again....

I was thinking earlier on, and I can't recall ever coming across a single person that didn't want to go back to Icmeler after visiting once. Many have been several times over, and those who've only been once really want to return. Again, my whole life I've not visited somewhere on holiday that I want to return to, other than Icmeler. I'm back in 5 days, think this is my 10th visit. What is it about Icmeler - I wish I knew, then I could bottle it, move over there, and open a shop selling it! I think it's a mixture of the place, the location, the weather, the scenary, the hospitality, the friendliness with a little bit of secret magic thrown in.

this is my return visit after 4 years , My husband will not go anywhere else we love icmeler. While looking through peeps photo,s ive noticed alot of changes and im bursting to see them. Im a real giddy kipper at the moment 9 sleeps left. Also its my 50th birthday when we actually come back from Icmeler , but we are celebrating there too .
The magic of the place is i think its got everything.. the scenery, the beach, the people, the bars, the shops, the promande walk and those fab kebabs . oho and the amber nectar

I agree with everyone else Icmeler is magical. We've been going for 5 years now and wouldn't change. My husband can be fussy but he loves everything about Icmeler from the people, scenery, food and oh yes the EFES. We're so looking forward to coming back in August. Everyone is so friendly and not as pushy as in Marmaris. They take no for an answer. That's another reason for people returning time and time again. Haven't had one bad meal in all these years, apartments are what you make of them and again we haven't had any complaints. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated and you should have no problems. Love Icmeler xx Have a happy holiday and I dare you to say you won't go back xx

I totally agree you will def have a fab holiday, everything about Icmeler is wonderfull from the people, the restaurants,beeches etc etc. We havent been for 2 years and we are so looking forward to seeing all the changes!!! We're flying out on July 16th and just can't wait
