Everywhere is close by in Icmeler :) . So many restaurants to choose from, it's down to personal taste really. Very few places to avoid so in the main you can't go wrong. Our favourite is Broadway - for it's superb food at any time of day, for the missing entertainment (we've seen all the Michael Jacksons, Tina Turners and Robots that we need!), for the atmosphere, and for the excellent way we are looked after there without exception. I have no doubt that the majority of forum members have their own favourite for very similar reasons - give a few of them ago that suit your tastes and you'll have a ball. For just drinks and some loud tunes we like No Name Bar - but it is VERY loud and not to everyones taste!

There are a few supermarkets dotted around Icmeler, but many more smaller shops selling everything you need - for fruit and veg try some of these in the old village - nicer quality and cheaper than Tansas - or buy from the market on a Wednesday.

Enjoy :D

hi we are stopping at club tokmak in september, so will have to let us know what its like, i have read many many reviews of the tokmak, and apart from 1 they all said excellent, friendly etc etc, we have been to icmeler about 6 times now and trust me there is something for everyone, it depends on what you want, the irish bar near the canal is good, plus if you want a nice quiet drink in lovely peaceful surroundings you cant beat the magic garden, but to be honest you will be spoilt for choice. any everyone has there own favourite places

Hi we are also going to Tokmak in August, but haven't stayed there before, so any feedback from anyone who has stayed there before would be great.

Hi, we stayed at Tokmak 3 years ago. We loved it. Its in a quiet residential area, right near the Market which is handy. Our apartment was great. Basic, but cleaned every day, and well presented. The staff were great. The star of the show was Bob. He was there evry minute of evry day, and was a good laugh. Not sure if he's still there tho.

It's on a slight hill, near the mosque. The Tansas super Market is just a few mins walk away. At the bottom of the hill from Tokmak there's a road junction. Our favourite restaurant, Wayside is just over the road. The food here is amazing, and the service is the best in town!! Friendly and relaxed. I'd also recommend Charlie's Place and The Lighthouse, tho to be honest, there's loads of good restaurants and bars, within a leisurely stroll from Tokmak.

Hope this helps

Hi Scotmiss, just arrived back at 3am this morning,so the Tokmak, well here goes,`Brilliant' the rooms are very spacious and cleaned every day(ask for a pool facing room the views are beautiful) the back rooms face onto the market area, the pool is of good size with childs pool & jacuzzi, the bar area is also of good size with everything on hand & prices are very reasonable, the staff are also very good, looking after all your needs,i would say its a good 10mins walk to town centre and found it better to get a taxi back in the heat, having been to Turkey 6 out of the last 8yrs i would rate the Tokmak the best place i have ever stayed in 10 out of 10,hope this helps, anything else you need to no just ask,

Lee.

Hi JohnJill, if you walk up to the main rd from the square turn left,as soon as you turn left u must cross over, the no name bar is down one of the side streets, cannot think which one it is but it is only a couple of minutes walk from the square, there is no food just drink.

Happy to read your very positive review about Tokmak as our family will be staying there soon.

Did they do nice meals at Tokmak and what were the prices like?

How far do you have to walk to get a dolmus?

What is the fare say from Tokmak if you want to go into Marmaris?

Thanks for any info you can give.

scooby1

Thanks again for the info.

Just one more thing, Will one dolmus take us right into Marmaris? Not familiar with the Old Village part of Icmeler.

Like i say morh its about a 5min walk to get the dolmus and you get it on the main marmaris rd,if you come out of the tokmak turn left down a short bank and turn right stay on that rd to the bottom and turn left, walk for a min or two and cross over the rd,there is a little shelter right on the corner but make sure you keep a eye out for it because it is a bit of a blind spot.

Hi Scotsmiss, safety boxes are in the main reception area but are very secure as there is night security on,there is also hair dryers in every bathroom so no need to take one with you,air conditioning will be a must,it was in june so it will be a must when you go,the cost of the boxes are £10 per wk & the air con is £25 per wk,well worth it my eyes & i must say that the £70 for both for 2 wks is the cheapest i have ever paid any where in Icmeler & Marmaris,
