Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Has any one used the Executive Lounge at Newcastle Airport recently. I'm thinking of booking it for £35 (£17.50 each) as a nice start to our holiday since we were moved to an afternoon flight. We are flying in July.

Is it worth the money or would I be better spending it at the Eagle Bar & Diner?

i was looking into this as well as i thought the same, that it would be a nice start to the hols but as we have children w have decided against it because even though children are allowed into the lounge there is not much, well nothing really for them to do, so have decided to just stay in the departure lounge as to be honest there is more for everyone to do - duty free shops to look around, games area for kids places to eat etc.
Having said that, if you are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax before your flight i think it would be nice.
I could't find any info on what food was available (it just stated snacks) but i think it is worth the price four having your drinks included
If you decide to go to the executive lounge would you let us know what it is like please

Daisysun, been through Newcastle Airport so many times that I find the whole thing boring and uncomfortable. There is only the 2 of us this time with no children/grandchildren so thought it might be good.
I will certainly let you go what it's like if I go for it.

thanks. I'd say go for it then, especially if it is just 2 adults with no children, it should be quite enjoyable and peaceful compared to the rest of the airport.

weve used the executive lounge a few times at newcastle and found the bar great if you take advantage of it

all bottles of spirt and mixes to hand and you serve yourself
fridges full of beer so get what you can
theres only snacks and nibbles no sandwiches which i think should be included

all depends on what you can drink

make sure you get there on time as you only have a couple of hours before your departure once you have gone through check in

Thanks Dave, might go for the Eagle option as we want to have a good feed (as well as a good drink for me) before the flight as food will be limited when we get to Icmeler.

We did the lounge at LBA a few weeks ago - first time I've done a lounge and we only did it cause I get some free with my bank account - LBA is only a small airport but the lounge was great, only snacks though so other food options might be an idea, but free drinks, crisps, cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc. We had a good fill, as did my bag for the flight too (just water and crisps though, left the bottle of gordons on the side for others to enjoy )

Tripadvisor usually has decent reviews of lounges too.

Hi. me, my husband and our two friends used the lounge in April. i would certainly recommend it. just snacks which were good, but as much tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol as you want.
very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. there were no children in when we used it though. i am booking to use it again in june. we paid £16.00 each and booked on line.
