Hi to all,can anyone tell me if a turkish bath helps you to get a better tan,my partner and i had one two years ago & it didnt seem to make much difference,maybe it was because we had it in the second week of our hols,if anyone does have a one when is the best time to have it & which one do you think is the best one to go to,we went to the one just down from the underground market on the main rd side.

Never tried it myself but may this year. However, I believe having it towards the end of your holiday would be counter productive. The idea is to get rid of the dead skin layers at the start of your holiday, then your tan will last longer, apparently

A turkish bath should be done as close to the begining of your holiday as possible as the process removes all dead skin cells leaving fresh skin for tanning and thus extending the life of your tan. Really is a must wehn you come to Turkey and totally enjoyable

Yes, Laney is absolutely correct. We usually book first morning after we arrive. It exfoliates your dead skin and prepares your skin for a nice tan. Very very relaxing as well. I would advise you go in the morning because you will definitely need a power nap after your oil massage.

A turkish bath is brilliant as long as you do it before you start to tan as it will get rid of any colour you have obtained.

But where is the best in Icmeler?

aim of the turkish bath is to get your skin completely cleaned and all the dead skin removed
the best idea is to get it at the very start of your holiday before you get a tan so you can gradually increase your tan

Me and my Husband had one last year on the second day and we loved it and will be having one again this time. And yes they say to do it in the first couple of days you are there.

Book via ICR, trunks and bikinis are required as they are mixed and children also go.

You can book at lots of places, you will find most of if not all of the people that do day trips ect will do um. We booked with the couple that stand just near the Babadan app, and we enjoyed it i dont think they will all go to the same turkish baths they will use different ones.

thanks, whats the rought price in Liras for one, and what's the normal tip given to the person giving it, I just would not want to offend the person by not giving what is acceptable, but also don't want to over tip.

We use the Armutalen Hamam in Marmaris which is a traditional one, you do not tip them personally as that would not be possible (you will understand why when you go lol). I think we paid about £10 each which included return transport and then we negotiated for oil massages for us both. The basic price is just for the steam and soap and exfoliation which are great but the best is definately the massage we paid extra for a longer massage and it is bliss i suffer from arthritis, spondylosis and sciatica but after the massage i can enjoy my holiday in less pain and a lot more flexible. Cannot recomend having a turkish bath enough it is the 1st trip of our hols and the thing i look forward to most

janden its the same Turkish Bath that we used last year, and yes its same one with the free offer. I spoke to Dino and he said he cant remember, so i think it be best you bring some more you know your limit

we arrive on 11th June but late at night,my partner and i would love a turkish bath,on the 12th June in morn preferibly,what time does the office open so we can just come in or do you prefer us to book and pay in advance.

Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction for the closest place to get a turkish bath when i am staying at the Palm Garden apartments?

The easiest thing Darren is to book on our website then you will go to the Turkish bath a 5 minute walk away from where you are staying
