Excursions

Postby Southampton_Girl » 01 May 2012 15:39

Hi all,

I've seen an excursion - I'm not sure whether it's the Jeep Safari or something else where you go out for the day and get covered in MUD!??

I quite fancy doing that this year but can't remember what the trip is called?

Help?

You mean the Turkish Bath?

I mean something else... you go by jeep/ or bike / or boat?? It's a day trip out - but I'm unsure what the name of the trip is called. Apparently it smells of sulphar??

I had Turkish Bath - it's not that one.

You are looking for Dalyan - mud baths. I know that ICR do the trip and I think its about £19 but you need to speak to them.

Enjoy

Southampton Girl. Probably the Dalyan trip you are thinking of. Click on excursions on the top of the home page and it can be booked through ICR

Hi Southampton Girl,

The Dalyan trip is my favourite day out and definitely worth a visit. If you want to do this excursion there are 2 options Dalyan by boat or Dalyan by bus. I would seriously opt for the Dalyan by boat as it avoids the normal stops at gold shops and carpet factory. The day starts by taking a boat to Turtle Beach. At turtle beach you stay for approx 1 hour and get to relax, it is never guaranteed that you will see the turtles. Once finished at turtle beach you will board smaller boats which will take you throught he marshes to see the caves carved into the rock mfaces and then disembarking at the mud baths. At this point you can go into the mud baths, showers are provided for washing afterwards (the mud is good fun), you can then enter the thermal spa. If you would prefer not to do either of these then you can sit back and watch others taking part. You are then taken by the same transport back to resort. Lunch in included during the day. It really is a packed day and good value for money. If you want more information on this excursion then just let me know. :)

Sorry, no Turtles. They lay their eggs there but do this at night.

Great trip though and take some sandles for the beach as the sand gets very!!! hot
