Holiday advice?

Postby dawnibaby » 29 Apr 2012 11:44

Hi everyone,

A month today and my partner and I will be visiting Icmeler for a week. It's our first visit (although I have visited Marmaris years ago as a teenager) and I was wondering if some of you lovely people could give us some advice of things to visit.

We both enjoy visiting historical sites but don't really want to spend hours on end on a coach. Are there any interesting sites close to Icmeler?

We're also both good swimmers and fancy doing a bit of snorkelling. Are the coves and bays around Icmeler easily accessible?

And, finally ( ) we've heard that the day trip to Rhodes is really good and we'd definitely like to give it a try but I've heard from people at work that it's really expensive in regards to port taxes etc.

If anything could help with any of these queries I'd be most grateful. I'm getting excited now - only 29 sleeps!!!

Thanks,

Dawn :)

Hi Dawn, re snorkelling, probably you're best bet would be to book an ICR boat trip as there is plenty of opportunities for swimming/snorkelling in the bays around Marmaris and Icmeler on these trips.

Regarding Rhodes, I believe you only have to pay the £10 tax in Marmaris on top of your fare, I don't believe there is any other taxes payable.

Hope you have a great time, and welcome to the forums :)

p.s I'm sure there will be others along with more info to your questions.

Thanks for the reply! Think we'll definitely try and visit Rhodes at some point during our week. :)
