We fly Mon morn so I buy the local paper which is out on Fri. also two Sunday papers which are also saved unread and put away, a crossword/puzzle book and make sure I have downloaded plenty of songs and fully charged up my I Pod, by the time I have read, done and listened along with sampling a couple of wines and munched our way through a tube of Pringles we are there, easy!!!

Love my kindle on holiday, saves on luggage allowance as they are so light and I know I won't run out of things to read like I normally do if I take a couple of books!

I found that the the pages in my books tended to come loose, don't know if it was because of the heat. Last year I took a kindle, absolutely brilliant. The only problem was deciding which book to read as I'd downloaded so many. As well as the books you buy there are a lot of free ones to download as well

I hate flying too, even to the point a few years ago that I went to the doctors to prescribe be some calming tablets which didnt work as I got a bad stomach with them. I take Rescue Remedy which you spray onto your tongue. I am trying to talk my other half into buying me a Kindle so I can read but I mainly listen to my IPod and keep my eyes shut until we land. We have terrible flight times home 4.20am so hopefully I will be that tired I will sleep

Watch movies on my tablet or listen to music on my ipod.
If there is turbulance thats all the better for me as it always rocks me to sleep but normally that doesn't happen to we reach the alps.

Seems to be a lot of us that hate flying ... I know I do.
I get Beta blockers from the doctor, to calm me - although they do work, they do make me slightly breathless, but I can put up with that for the short time.
Kindle, iPad, iPod, all keep me busy too. But dont think I could manage a longer flight!

I usually have a snooze after downing my sneaked on vodka

and reading for a while. I've now been inspired to get an ereader, did some research yesterday and found a tablet for under £60 that runs android. It's arriving today, so fingers crossed it's as good as the reviews of it as it's cheaper than an ereader with many more features. Once I can work out how to convert some dvds I'll load some films on too - that should pass the flight time fairly quickly
