Gifts?

Postby sandybeach » 10 Sep 2006 22:59

Hi
Stayed at Icmeler last year and was absolutely overwhelmed with the hospitality i was shown there. I was given a gift of Turkish Delight by the assistant of one of the shops. I would also like to give a gift to the assistant of the shop when i return, but i am at a loss what to buy as i would like to buy a special treat, something like champagne but i do not want to offend her. Can any member recommend a suitable gift?

As you do state in your post that it is a HER then how about something as a souvenier from where you live.

Wouldn't do me any good being male mind as a bottle of something would go down better.

Sound a bit unimaginative, but what about a really nice box of chocolates?

Our chocolate is much much nicer than Turkish chocolate - you could go for Thorntons (not liqures) or Hotel Chocolat (www.hotelchocolat.co.uk)

Turks generally have a very sweet tooth, but not many of them drink alcohol being Muslim.

Hi
Thanks for the ideas it was much appreciated. I liked the idea of the chocolates but just in case they have not got a very sweet tooth and in case they melt, I have decided to buy a tin of luxury biscuits from Marks and Spencers.
Thanks for all your help
