See if we can get a few responses to this little question. Getting the cases out of the attic,locking the house up, on way to airport,checkin,dutyfree,bar, plane?. Mine is after we touch down and taxi into the terminal. Everybody is standing up to stretch their legs and get some feeling back in their bums, and pulling bags down from the overhead lockers, and then the doors are opened and i am standing at the top of the steps and it feels like a hairdryer is blowing warm air in your face,, i have started my holidays!! YES!!

This year we are flying on a monday so it will be friday after work for both of us....unless Tony is working the saturday, in which case I will have to party on my own til he gets back saturday pm.Roll on July,especially with this awful weather...

For me it begins when I catch my 1st glance of Paradise as we drive out of Marmaris and can see the beautiful sight of Icmeler beach front. For us it's the best sight ever. That's when I get excited, knowing I'm home again

For me it's when the bags are checked in, and boarding passes in hand ,

Isn't it amazing how we wish our lives away as soon as we book for paradise. The only problem is, the months pass so slowly until your time comes, and then when you are there...time flies

See we are all different. Keep them coming,, i think i need to change my ideas about when the holidays start. I like cockney boys reply when we click the mouse!!

My holiday begins when I chuck the cases in the car and drive off.. I travel along roads I use daily, also roads I use to visit family but the journey along them to the airport is somehow different, it is a journey filled with excitement, anticipation and... I don't know really.
I love that drive, I love the whole Gatwick experience, I love the flight, the transfer - I love it, and best of all the arrival in ICMELER!!!!!!

Our holiday starts when we get in the taxi to the airport but really know we're 'home' when we get our first glimpse of Icmeler from the mountain road outside Marmaris......could never get fed up of that view
