If you stand in front of the devamli the road to the right hand side of it goes to the Geordie bar bout 50-100 yards on the right near the lemon tree. It was closed last year unless there is a different one.

hi scooby , the old geordie bar run by Christine has been closed for a couple of years now , but there is a geordie bar not far from the wayside , turn left at the tansas and the bakery , you'll find it opposite the Ince apartments , haven't tried it my self yet but I'm going out there in 3 weeks so will pop in .
Hope this helps .

This is for me the weirdest thing :? I was born and raised in Jesmond which to those in the know is the posh end...and never in all my days in Newcastle did i meet a soul from South Shields. I went to Bournemouth in 1975 and then to Chandlers Ford in 2001 and I would say that at least 75% of the geordies I've met ,mostly when I'm working, have been from South Shields!Very strange! :D

We go to South Shields every Saturday for the best fish and chips in the world.
Most people here consider themselves Sand dancers yet from North Shields they are Geordies.

Just for the record, it is said north of the Tyne are Geordies because they were Lord Collingwood's men at war; a statue of him is looking :D down the Tyne out to sea at Tynemouth. Often people from South Shields, (me) are called "Sandancers" because of the lovely beaches! There are plenty Sandancers in Icmeler in June and September, surprised you haven't met any! :D

We went to Charlies fish restaurant at South Shields today and I asked if they considered themselves Geordie or Sandancers. All said Sandancers apart from one who was Scottish. Fab fish and chips!
We normally go to Icmeler in October every year but last year went at the end of September which was a bit hot for me.
Weve never met any Sandancers who we think are the most friendliest folk on the planet.
We will hopefully meet some this year.
