Trying to remember a restaurant...

Been 6 years since we last went so things are a little hazy

It sold mainly (only?) English-type food, and they had home-made soup that was to die for. It was very close to the main canal if I remember right, and maybe was run by English folk?

Sorry, probably not much to go on

No it wasn't a bar mate, just a cafe/restaurant type of place, sold good wholesome food. I ended up almost on a soup diet last time I was there and this place was a lifesaver

There was a small cafe at the top of the canal/ storm drain that runs behind the Demircioglu apartments, the cafe was on the opposite side of the canal to the aparments, they were there in 2007 but gone in 2008 they did british food sandwiches, pies etc, I dont think they served alcohol and it was more like an old british tea shop, I cannot remember the name, could this have been the cafe?

No it was definitely at the end of the canal in the centre, a street or 2 after the canal ends. Looking on a map, i'm guessing it would have been close to the street the Devamli is on, or one of the streets either side of it.

Something tells me it had the word 'kitchen' in the name but I could be wrong with that one.

Possibly.....the name doesn't ring a bell at all with me tho. I've sent a message to my mate who went with us, it was him who first recommended it to me so i'm hoping he will remember the name

Yes that was it Eatock, my mate just told me

I don't suppose they're still making their home made soup in the Tandoori Sizzler? :D

They are doing Indian, Chinese, Turkish and English menu. I've not had soup in either so not sure, I think there was soup on the menu last year.

Remember to call into the ICR office for your discount card :-)
