Its always been like that, same with the drinks.... u ask for a voddy and coke, u get ur glass filled up with ice and the teenist bit of cheap vodka followed by cheap supermarket cola, so now i tell them to leave the ice and give me what i pay for or I wont buy it!

If I'm taking it home now, I usually buy it loose - that way you can choose the flavours you want and you know exactly what you're getting. No-one likes to be ripped off.

I also buy it loose from the market. At least then you can see what you are getting. I always bring it back for my colleagues at work, and they absolutely love it. Been buying it for nearly twenty years now, and never had a problem with it.

Blimey...glad to hear that we aren't the only ones to have been caught with Turkish Delight. We were caught like that one year on
Icmeler market. The poor old lady next door rang us and said that her Turkish Delight was tea. It was actually packed in a foil wrapper for Typooh tea, but inside was the smallest amount of 'delight' that I have ever seen. We still buy off of Icmeler market, but we go to the stall which is run by a husband and wife. They are a truely lovely couple. Their Turkish Delight is put into boxes in front of you so you can see what you are getting and they always tie the boxes up with pretty ribbons.
