TRANSLATION OF: "İçmeler’deki Martı Resort Otel’e izinsiz tadilat ve ruhsatsız ek bina yaptığı gerekçesiyle rekor ceza kesildi. İhbar üzerine harekete geçen belediye fen işleri ekipleri, otel binalarından birinin bir kattan 4 kata, diğerinin iki kattan 4 kata çıkarıldığını tespit etti. Otele yaklaşık 240 Bin Lira para cezası kesildi ve savcılığa suç duyurusunda bulunuldu. Oteldeki kaçak yapıların bir ay içinde yıkılması gerekiyor. Otele tanınan bir aylık süre ise dolmak üzere."

What they are saying is, Marti Resort Hotel was fined a total of 240K (lira) for building 2 stories on top of the permitted 2 floors on one building and 3 additional stories on another building within the premises without a proper building permit. Marti was ordered to demolish unpermitted buildings within a month (almost a month ago) so the deadline is near.

Thats about it. We will see what the outcome is however its always possible pay additional fees and fines in Turkey and keep all the built structures...but I have no idea what this case is about so can not comment about it just yet but one thing for sure is, Marti is a big enough company (public company) to overcome these problems quiet easily.

Hi Just reading this and am now worrying the Hotel Marti will look like a demolition site. We are supposed to be getting married there in June. Does anyone know how the hotel is looking or will look like? Thanks all.

Hi Susan, if I were you, I'd take comfort and reassurance from Rami and JT's posts,

The guys know how things work in Turkey, and I think their comments are even more relevant now that the season's started - changes can only usually be made OUT of season
Am sure it'll all be fine and have a lovely, lovely time  :D
