My son and his family are going to Kapmar on 27th June. I'll get their views when they come back and post a reply, but I'm sure you'll get many replies before then.

stayed for 3 weeks last september and immediately booked agin for 3 more this september. Rooms are pretty big by usual standards and the hotel is clean and central for everything. staff were friendly but unobtrusive and the food at the hote cafe was excellent and very reasonably priced. had a great time. I e-mailed the hotel before we went and they gave us the room we asked foor 1st floor front facing as my husband is disabled. Am sure you will love it, we are there from 4th to 25th of September, counting the days. :D

We have stayed at the Kapmar 3 times , it should have been 4 last Sept ,but as Agean Flights went bust we had to cancel.
Over 10 years of visiting Icmeler twice a year this is the only hotel we have re visited.
We will be back to the kapmar in Sept.
Looks like we could have our own ICR Forum meeting at the Kapmar :D

The Kapmar is probably the nicest of the budget hotels in Icmeler we've stayed in. Couldn't fault the rooms, good size, great balcony, amazing shower and a tv and hairdryer - luxury indeed for the price you pay! Everywhere is in good order, clean and tidy.

But, and it's a big but, I don't really rate it. Maybe it's cause it was the end of the season and was therefore very quiet (apart from the inevitable trip trapping of drunken heels on the floor above at 3am!), I don't know really, it just wasn't a very welcoming atmosphere. When we went in the bar it felt as though we'd just walked into someones house uninvited and they were wondering what we were doing there but were too polite to say!

It's a great location, particularly if you get it on one of the cheapy booking sites, you can get some amazing deals, and if all you are seeking is a clean and decent base for sleep and showers (and stuff  ) then it's good. We just didn't quite gel with it. And the manager is very scary!

hi all i stayed @ the kapmar last year for 2 weeks in august/september, i found the hotel very clean, staff helpfull, food good, rooms cleaned on a regular basis, great balcony if you are on the front, better @the back this year now they have done up the underground market area, overall i was impressed for what you pay.
inform the reception desk & chat with MURAT he is incharge of bookings of rooms prior to going @ask for front facing rooms better views & people watching.
i would be going there this year but left it late to book & it's full, but never mind i shall be popping in to see murat & the crew to say hello.
hope this helps you all.
regards.
ian.

Hi Brighteyes

Here are some views from the Top Floor Balcony of the Kapmar.
From these you can see that you are fairly central and very well placed for everything.
