Munamar Beach Resort

Postby scott » 22 Feb 2012 14:37

Anyone out there know when the Club Oylum Prestige changed it name to The Munamar Beach Resort? Also is it owned by the same people who have the Munamar Hotel on the front and the Munamar Residence?

Thanks
TC

The Oylum Prestige is still there, and the Munamar Beach is opposite the Alinda and was I believe originally called Efes Hotel. It is the other side of the small canal from the Munamar and was taken over last year and guests staying at the beach hotel eat and use all the facilities in the all inclusive Munamar which has been totally revamped with shower cubicles instead of a bath flat screen TV's attached to the wall and completely refurbished bed rooms. It is alsoa little bit cheaper than the main Munamar on the sea front and sold through Thomsons.

Thanks for your reply Raymo. Have booked The Munamar Beach Resort and it has it's own website and defo not under the Oylum Prestige. I have stayed in the original Munamar on the beach front before it was closed down and re-opened so know where this one is.

Anyone else shed any light on this. Was booked through a travel agent but I have also emailed them prior to booking and the email definately comes back from the Munamar Beach Resort.

Thanks

I have just googled Munamar Beach Resort and photos do look like it is the Oylum Prestige. Must be a recent change as i'm sure it wasn't that last year

Edited to say that I've just read a review of the Oylum Prestige from October last year that they got to the hotel to be told it was closing the next day and was moved to the Munamar Beach Residence :D

Thanks for the replies. Still wondering if it is owned by the same people as the Munamar Beach hotel and the Munamar Residence. Guess we'll just need to wait until May to find out. :?

The munamar beach resort is the old original munamar and has not moved.

The old Efes Inn facing Alinda is called Munamar residence

Oylum prestige was and still is the Oylum

Thanks JT.

Now I'm even more confused because I have definately booked the Munamar Beach Resort and not the Munamar Beach Hotel (on the front) or the Munamar Residence.

Also checked it out online again today and themunamarbeachresort is defo not the same as the other two hotels.

I think it may have been taken over. Will update this thread later this week as I have emailed them direct and asked the question.

The Munamar along with the Efes and the Elif were taken over by the people who own the Oylum group
