Storms

Postby JT » 08 Feb 2012 11:02

We have been battered by storms here and today when the rain let up I went out to get some photo's but it rained again and unfortunately only got a few before I had to hide from the rain.

Check them out in the photo section

Attached is a link to a video taken by Marmaris TV on the storms. It is mainly the marina in Marmaris, but it does mention that 4 boats were lost in Icmeler. The dead animal is a pig (???) which was washed up on the beach in Marmaris and the dead turtle on Icmeler beach. Towards the end of the video it shows another landslide on the new road to Marmaris (these have been regular with the amount of rainfall we have been having recently).

It was pretty scary at times I have to say!

Just watched the video; scary stuff and was very surprised at the amount of damage. The scenes showing the men trying to put a rope over the little boat was dangerous and scary. Hope things clear up soon for the resorts. :(

Looked really bad, good to see all services and people getting stuck in to clear up, if it was in the Uk we,d have to have a commitee 1st to organise it.Rog.
