Hi all

Sure I read somewhere that the 3 bells wasn't now moving, and the new place was being made into a sports bar? Can't find it now so it's entirely possible I dreamt it! We've just booked for the end of May, staying at Avlu 1, so it would be brilliant if the 3 bells will still be there. Does anyone know?

Hope they are moving, utter pains in the arses when I'm sitting in the Istanbul and they insist on blasting music!

The owners and bar staff are some of the nicest people ive met in the eight or nine years ive been visiting icmeler.
To come out with a comment like that maybe you should be going to Istanbul for your holidays............

The old 3 bells was demolished last week

The new one is bright, airy and a lot bigger than the old

Bikerjambo - it's not that 3 bells, the one you are referring to is the dream 3 bells closer to the beach opposite Istanbul restaurant, it can be a bit loud I guess but it's good fun.

JT - are they building another one on the same site do you know?

If you look at the link above and scroll past the first set of photos, there is a second set showing the last drink and the New 3/4Bells. It is located from the Azra jewellers, go past the Romance, Babadan aparts and Lal. I think it is on the same side as the Lal, before the Robin Hood.

i hope they do as well in there new place as in the last
two bars.mehmet and staff work really hard and will do
anything to help anyone.they very good friends of mine.
we email each other all year.i went in the new bar in
september and it really nice.so good luck mehmet x

The new one is just up next to pizza tomato if I recall correctly. Not that far at all, but not on the route back to the avlu from no name bar! Would have been great if it was still there but not to worry, we'll just have to make it back to the apartment without that final pit stop after a night out

We'll definitely go to the new one without a doubt, just need to plan a new route taking it in!

As noodles said it's by the Pizza Tomato and it's not as far as the Lal. We stay behind the Lal and used to go past the new 3 Bells but didn't venture in. We'll give it a try next year.

Yep, I get confused over both of them.
Suppose it could be said i made a right "Bells" of it, so to speak

Everything came out ok in the end

I was told that the old place was going to be a supermarket and further up where kardelin is the whole row are being demolished to make way for a coach park

I know I would rather be next to the dream 3 bells rather than 13 doors from susan boyle!!!

Oh gosh, has SuBo moved to Icmeler? Hope she's not too close to the avlu!

Thinking about it, I've not seen a SuBo tribute in Icmeler, maybe someone could suggest it in a suitable location for 2012 - somewhere near Istanbul restaurant perhaps.....

Don't suppose it would take much to change the Tina Turners into "her", and they'd just have to act mad!
