Has anyone out there heard about the changes to the entry visa.?
I've heard that it's now valid for 90 days and that there's no returning for 180 days.
Can anyone shed some light on this.? :?

This has been on the cards for the last two years but it was postponed after UK government intervention.

Its actually "You can stay for a maximum of 90 days in 180 day period" thus allowing multiple entries on one visa covering the season, just don`t stay more than 90 days in total. It is their way of ensuring that people who have holiday homes buy a residents visa.

I don`t know when its suppose to come in.

Makes you wonder what will happen when and if they get in the EU, free movement of members, how will they cope without all those £10s they will loose, but i suppose we,ll all subsidise them for a few years, Oh well.

I think it is excellent news that this is coming in, for those who go multiple times a year for one or two weeks it will save you money, for those who stay for 6 months then the new residency visa is great value and cheaper than doing the visa run, OK you need your blue book but still good value.

How to cope and the math : :)) £10 to lose for each UK resident coming in, £200 to win for each Turkish resident going out to the UK. Thats approx. how much a 6 month UK visa costs to a Turkish citizen.

Besides, I highly doubt that Turkey will enter the EU.

Hope you don't join. We're desperate to get out but they won't give us a referendum because they know what the result will be. For Turkey's sake I hope it stays as it is and isn't ruined by the EU.

Completely agree, I would recommend Turkey only ever becoming a trading partner the same as Switzerland and Norway and not enter the EU fully else you will have the idoits in Brussels controlling your lives, the latest being you are not allowed to put on a bottle of water that it helps prevents dehydration, that decsion took 4 years and 23 people what a waste of money.

Sorry a bit off topic.
