I went in May last year and it was very warm & humid but rained most days. :( I walked around the old village everyday while it lightly rained dressed in my shorts & hoody but did manage to lay by the pool some mornings and I did have some colour by the time I came back.

Icmeler is still beautiful no matter what the weather. I remember it lashing down with rain in September once and even had water running down the dry canal!! Still loved it. :D

I think that the weather in September is similar to the weather in June so in May it should be cooler, I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong. The only problem is that the weather seems to have gone weird in the last few years eg they had snow in april in Içmeler in april 2010. Have a look at
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10170
so the weather is not always as you expect it.

Our grandaughters were with us in July the eldest aged two and the youngest aged five months. The eldest loves the heat and for the youngest her mother had one of those folding UV tents which they can also sleep in at night as it has a mattress, as well as using it during the day as it has the protection from the sun. It was the third visit for the two year old whose first visit was at the age of five weeks and provided that she has the naps before becoming overtired she's fine. We spend a few hours indoors though to keep her out of the sun in the middle of the day.

It depends I suppose on the ages of the children. We always have air conditioning but you probably won't need it in May.

Went on 9th May this year, wouldn't do it again.I know it's pot luck, but the weather was a real letdown.especially at night with cold winds and too much rain. Also the resort was very quiet.

I have been late May/June both last year and this year. Weather last year was great but this year we had thunderstorms for 4 days in the last week of May but thereafter weather was good - not too hot during the and comfortable at night. It didn't stop us enjoying ourselves as Icmeler rain or shine is great but meant we were walking around more and did not have the right clothes. As others say it is just your luck. Like Jambodrew says early May can be very cool at night.
