Paying for fridge in hotel room

Postby Barbara » 14 Sep 2011 22:41

Hi

Is it now the norm that holiday makers are not only charged for the airconditioning in the room, but also for the fridge to be swicthed on ?

I have just come back from 2 weeks at the Golmar Hotel, which wasn't cheap, and was horrified and disgusted that we had to pay for the fridge to be swicthed on in our room, that wasn't even that cold !!

The cheaper hotels will charge extra for fridge, if its late in season and you dont need it dont pay, AI hotels dont charge(Its covered in their prices), but ive stayed ay the Golmar a few times and its approx £90 for safe, A/C and fridge which aint bad fo 14 days.Rog

My friend was at the Golmar when we were at the Private hotel.
She is too mean to pay for a fridge but we had one included. She wanted to put her bottles of wine in our fridge!
We also had one in the Devamli which we werent supposed to use but nothing was said when we put water and fruit in it.

I thought that this was unfair until I checked on their details and it does say 'Air conditioning and mini-fridges are available (payable locally)'.
