Clothing for October

Postby beccabeep2011 » 03 Sep 2011 17:24

Hey,

Was just wondering what type of clothing is best to take in October, as it's only my 2nd time in Icmeler, 1st time was this June/July.

Thanks

Usually its just the same as any other time in Icmeler, but I usually take a cardie or two, and then buy a couple of pashmina's, just incase the tops of your arms or shoulders get a little chilly.

Usually I dont need to wear a cardie or anything, but last year was an exception to the weather, I was blooming freezing most of the time, wearing jeans, body warmers etc, but hopefully it will be back to normal this year.

You might experience an occassional thunderstorm or two, but they usually pass quickly and make fantastic viewing :D

Its sunny and quite hot during the day but obviously not like at the height of summer and some prefer it in October as its not unbearably hot like July or August. It does get quite chilly at night so you will need a light jacket, cardie or pashmina for the evening. I have been many times in October and sometimes is a little too cool for the pool- I think the word is bracing!

We usually go for the first 2 weeks in October, the daytime is normally hot enough tho' there maybe a few stormy/overcast days but not at all cold and always have been able to use the pool and still plenty of sun to get the tan. Evenings/nights are often cool enough for me to need a cardi/pashmina. Lat year in suddenly turned from not needing anything extra in the evening to cold enough to need the padded jacket I'd brought for the travelling UK end - so next time I'll make sure I have something warm for the evenings and take a warm jacket again, I am a freezer tho' at the best of times. Last year was the first time I needed the jacket so it's hard to advise.

My OH always insists on taking a jacket with her every year. She's never needed it.

We were there last year in Oct. Days absolutely gorgeous but afte the first few days evenings got a little chilly. However, only needed a cardi and then had to take it off now and again. We are off on 18th Sept and cant wait. After today one more Sunday dinner!!!!!

Yes, you have it spot on. I always have to wear something at night- I think maybe a few members here are more warm blooded than me lol! It does get chilly at night though and I am not the only one to think that as many of the bars have the plastic shutter thingies down to keep out the cold. I have a couple of pasminas that I bought there that I use, they look nice draped over a nice dress or top and its surprising how warm they are.
