I have already done this - I know I am taking a chance and that it could go higher but it's been a long many years since we got a rate as good as this - really noticed a difference in the spending this year because the rate was so good. You takes your chances.

We've already changed ours for next year. I know it's always a risk but it's only been this high once in the last ten years and that was in 2006. Even if by some chance it does go higher, it can only be by a few points so it's a very low risk as the chance of our interest rate increasing is going further and further away. So unless something drastic happens to one of the currencies it's a safe bet.

We have changed some. We would be kicking ourselves next year if the rate dropped and we hadnt changed some. Thinking of changing some more. This is the best the exchange rate has been since we first went to
Icmeler in 2006 when we got 2.67 lira to the pound.

The last time I was in
Icmeler (a few years ago) it was September and the rate fell throughout our holiday. It will be interesting to see whether it does the same this year after rising so much since May. As to what will happen to exchange rates for next year, if anyone could answer that I also have a few questions about share prices and National Lottery numbers for them

You could use travelex.....the exchange rate is really good...Its the best exchange rate you can get in the UK....
I know its not as much as you get in the resort but its 2.74 today......thats better than not getting any at at all for the rate it is just now.....and risking it going back down to 2.40 or less by the time you go next year !!!!!
You can order the money on line and get it delivered to your house the following day - recorded delivery, and there is NO charge for this.

The best rate online seems to vary between Travelex and Ice. You can check the rates on
http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/for these two and a load of others. Charges vary but most of them don't charge if you change £500 or more. Someone else on this forum has also recommended travelfx which always gives a really good rate (today's is 2.78) but you need a bank
transfer to do this (no card payments of any type are accepted). We haven't used them as we thought there was a charge for the bank transfer but apparently there isn't but we have used Ice, and would definitely use them again.
