Postby Russmac » 15 Aug 2011 21:54

Hi all we are flying to dalaman on Thursday and was wondering what duty free is like on easyjet flights if any at all. Also are spirits cheaper or more expensive in dalaman arrivals. Also how much can we take with us cos as usual I have asked to bring a few bottles. Cheers in advance

Only 3 sleeps let can not wait !!!!!!!!

Cheers russ

not flown with them this year but i know that the alcohol in the duty free arrivals in dalaman is not cheaper than what you get in the UK
the best bet is probably to buy in the departures lounge in UK
im sure your duty free allowance is 1 litre of spirits per person 18 or over
hope this helps
have an amazing holiday

Hi Russ - flew with Easyjet from Manchester in June this year. Excellent flight - no delays, new plane so even ordinary seats had more leg room than most other companies we have used.
They do a duty free service but to be honest it was limited. Definitely buy in UK not Dalaman - more expensive there. You can take 5 bottles and the good thing with easyjet is as long as your handluggage is not oversized it doesnt matter how much it weighs just as long as you can lift it into the overhead locker unaided!
Have a great hol - we go back 3rd sept and cant wait.

I always take more than 1 litre in with me though, never been stopped before - hope I have not jinxed myself now, but we usually take about 4-5 litres in between the two of us. Usually 4 for the apartments, and 1 for myself to have a drink before going out in the evening.

Mary - Snap, but think the allowances changed this year. I remember checking a few years back when we first started taking bottles in for the Hotel (2 ltrs of spirits per person over 18 on arrival), so was surprised to see the allowances on the links posted this year. Tho' I was still able to buy 2 ltrs per passport in Dalaman arrivals in June without any query - so don't know if they were aware of the changes or if they don't care what you buy like the departures Duty Free.

How do you get away with buying more in departures duty free though? I though you had to present your boarding card. Do they let one person buy more than 1 litre in departures? If so I'm definitely going to give it a shot! :D

I'll give it a try then Elayne.

There's only myself and my 14 year old son flying though so I'll only be able to use my boarding card. I'm sure World Duty Free have a '2 bottles for £25' promo on so I'll see if I can get away with that! :)

This will be my first time with E***J** too, in only 7 days, 3 hours, 50 minutes!! :D :D
