Had a bad experience with flying ants in a couple of restaurants . They started to hatch when we had our meals in The Waterfall and in The Broadway and the lights in all the nearby restaurants had to be turned down for 5 or 10 mins till they had all flew away. It was a bit annoying but we understood there nothing the staff can do but have as little light as possible. There were a few people left there meals in The Waterfall and complained as you could hardly see the table but it all adds to a foreign turkish holiday. Lets face it if the Turkish had been on holiday in London there was a riot going on rather see flying ants than flying bottles or worse.

Although I am a geordie and flying ants never existed when I lived there . I did 25 year in Bournemouth and now done 10 in Chan dlers Ford and we always get the little gits. However they are nothing worse than a nuisance. The black ones that inhabit the NewForest are much worse and bite or sting!

Thankfully the flying ants seem to have gone now - we also experienced them in Champagne and they stopped serving food for a while
Have to say the return visit was worth it for their steak and kidney pie - determined to pay a return visit before we come home next week
