I have never travelled with an infant before and need advice. when we booked our holiday on line with F**** C***** i was told the infant had no luggage alowance because we booked on line but when tickets arrived it says he has free 10Kg is that weight for suitcases or to cover the weight of his pushchair dont want to pack suitcases to arrive at airport and end up being way over? :?

Most airlines don't include pushchairs/prams/buggies in your allowance, they are free if you like. As for the 10kg I can't say, I'd give the airline a call and ask them because as you say you don't want to get there and have to end up paying excess.

If it's on the ticket I'd be inclined to think that you do have the 10kg though as it says it there in black and white :)

If you put your pushchair in a bag you can also put a lot of other things in there as well, as it isn't weighed.

Hi there rebjessemy,
We regularly take our grandchildren out on holiday and almost always fly with T.C. You do indeed have a 10kg luggage allowance for an infant (which they never willingly tell you about) and yes the pushchair/buggy is a seperate item and it's usually taken off you at the entrance to the plane and stored.

Not all airlines give 10kg allowance for infants but they do let you take a pushchair. I know T.C. gives a 10kg allowance and as it says on your ticket they can't exactly tell you no because you have it in writing!
