Dalaman Duty Free - Help Please

Postby patsiej » 13 Aug 2011 08:34

I go to Icmeler early September and want to take 1 litre of Morgans Rum with me. In the UK it's called Morgans Original but I think in Dalaman it may be called Morgans Black Rum.

Would any kind soul who passes through Dalaman duty free please let me know the price of a litre (price in euros is fine) so that I have an idea of whether I should buy in the UK duty free or in Dalaman?

Thanks very much.

UK is cheaper for all booze now Patsie as you are getting a different rate from duty free as you are enering a non EU country

Always lots of offers in duty free.

One Exception was on a Jet 2 flight where with discount vouchers I think I was paying £22 for 2 litres of Jack Daniels

i am just back from icmeler this morning and was looking in duty free at 4am this morning and i am very disapointed to report there were no bargains to be had at dalaman airport,,,i was looking at mens aftershave and on average were 20% more than glasgow airport,in fact the one i looked at was £15 dearer,,sadly someone has to pay for the recent new airport at dalaman and its the tourists im afraid ! i flew with onur air and also found them to be very expensive i.e 7 euros for a can of coke ! i dont no what the future holds for onur air as hfu and aegean flights were there biggest customer, when i flew to dalaman a week ago there were only 45 people on an 186 seat aircraft,,,dont think i,ll be risking booking with them for nxt year.
